A very early transfer to a local airport for the light aircraft flight to Tortilis. Amboseli attracts large numbers of game, drawn to natural springs fed from Mount Kilimanjaro: plains game, elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah and leopard, as well as many varieties of bird life. Tortilis Camp, named after the nearby Acacia Tortilis trees, sits on the southern edge of the park, overlooking a natural water hole. Guests are accommodated in spacious sleeping tents with en suite bathrooms. A large, semicircular veranda offers unique views of Kilimanjaro in all its moods; at night, the nocturnal sights and sounds of the African bush fill the camp. (B, L, D)

A full day on safari in Amboseli. Game drives and game walks are offered. There is also a swimming pool for those wishing to remain in camp and simply relax under the African sun. Enjoy sundowners in the hills behind camp. (B, L, D)

Morning drive to Namanga, a town situated on the border of Kenya and Tanzania. Here you will be met and transferred to Arusha in time to connect with the scheduled light aircraft flight to Lake Manyara. You will be met and transferred to lodge, about a 21/2 - hour game drive away.Sheltered below the walls of the Great Rift Valley in the shade of an ancient mahogany forest where Ernest Hemingway once hunted, is Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Guests are accommodated in 10 deluxe tree houses, complete with en suite facilities and an outdoor shower. A dining boma and open-air interactive kitchen overlook this vast African landscape. Enjoy an afternoon game activity. (B, L, D)

Full day on safari in Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy the kaleidoscope of Manyara flora and fauna either on foot or in the lodge’s 4 X 4’s. Here you might catch a glimpse of Manyara’s remarkable tree-climbing lions. Elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe are but a few of the many big game species to be found, and the area is renowned for its myriad bird life. (B, L, D)

African Zebra

An early departure to the airstrip for the scheduled light aircraft flight to the Serengeti. You may choose either Grumeti Camp located in the western corridor of the Serengeti corridor or Klein’s Camp located in the north-eastern Serengeti. These upscale properties are small, ensuring a high level of service in an uncrowded environment. Grumeti Camp, located in the seclusion of a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti overlooks a branch of the Grumeti River where wildebeest plunge through the waters during the annual migration. Klein’s Camp is located just outside the park boundary in a private concession in the north-eastern Serengeti. Hidden among the bush-clad hills and commanding breathtaking views of the valleys along migratory routes of wildebeest and zebra, Klein’s Camp consists of only 8 cottages of local rock and thatch. Since Klein’s Camp is on a private concession, guests may enjoy day and night safaris and interpretive bush walks. Depending upon the season and game movements, guests may also experience the legendary 'Great Migration', which traverses different areas of the park during its never ending search for food and water. (B, L, D)
