Far from the crowds who enjoy their first African Safari in the more popular National Parks and Reserves, the Selous and Ruaha retain the wild feeling of the truth African bush. Visitors, however, can still enjoy comfort and excellent cuisine in the small properties which have opened up in recent years in response to popular demand.

Southern Tanzania Park

9 Days Selous/ Ruaha/ Mikumi National Park Udzungwa Mountains

 

Day 1: Selous National park

Depart by road to Selous Game Reserve arriving Rufiji River Camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the tented camp.

 

Day 2: Selous National park

 Full day game drives in the reserve with picnic lunches. Return to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 3:  Selous National park

Early morning pre-breakfast walking safari returning to camp for late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Afternoon boat safari on the mighty Rufiji River. All meals and overnight at the camp.

 

Day 4:  Selous National park

Another full day game drives with picnic lunches. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

 

Day 5: Mikumi National Park

Depart after breakfast for Mikumi with lunch boxes. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Camp.

 

Day 6:  Ruaha National Park

Early morning departure for Ruaha National Park arriving Ruaha River Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

 

Day 7: Ruaha National Park

Full day game drives at Ruaha with picnic lunches. Return to Ruaha River Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Ruaha - Udzungwa Mountains National Park
After breakfast travel to Udzungwa Mountains National park arriving in the mid afternoon. Evening rest and relax at leisure waiting for dinner and overnight in Lodge or luxury Tented Camp. FB

Day 9: Wonderful Walking in Udzungwa Park
Breakfast in your Camp then launch a walking morning and afternoon in this beautiful Park enjoying and experience the stunning natural beauty of the park. Lunch in the bush then proceed exploring the area wonderful waterfall endemic Red Colobus Monkey and beautiful scenery, evening experience the Sun Set before return to the Camp for dinner and overnight. Day 10: Udzungwa Mountains National Park – Dar
- After breakfast check out from the Camp and travel back to Dar arrives in the early afternoon for lunch.
