Detailed Itinerary For 11 Days Kenya Safari & Mombasa
Day 1: Welcome to Nairobi
A representative from Bushtroop Tours and Safaris, who will also be your driver guide will pick you and transfer to Western Meridian Hotel for a goodnight rest
Day 2: Nairobi/Masaai Mara
At 7:30 hrs: Leave Nairobi for Masai Mara Game Reserve, via the great rift valley, reaching in time for lunch. On arrival proceed to the Enkorok Tented camp/Jambo mara Lodge. After a short rest proceed for a game drive in search of Black Maned Lions, Elephants, leopards, Cheetah, Buffalos and other plain’s game. Return to the Enkorok/Jambo Mara Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Masai Mara
0630hrs: After breakfast, proceed for an early morning game drive. Return to camp for lunch. 1600hrs. After lunch, a further game drive. Dinner and overnight at Enkorok and Jambo Lodge
Day 4: Masai Mara
Full day game viewing in the Mara with an option nature walk or visit to a nearby Masai village in between the meal breaks. Dinner and overnight at theEnkorok Tented camp/Jambo mara Lodge. (Masai village visit available at extra cost of $20).
Day 5: Masai Mara/ Naivasha
After breaakfast, leave Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha, where you will have a boat across the lake. On the water, we’ll glide past curious hippos, exotic fish and have a chance to spot birds such as cormorant and pelican. There after, proceed for a guided walking safari at Crescent Island Sanctuary where you will encounter peacefully grazing antelope, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, among others. Dinner and overnight at Crescent Tented Camp
Day 6: Lake Naivasha/Lake Nakuru
Leave after breakfast and drive to the home of millions of flamingoes and the home of the white rhino and about 350 different species of birds. Its known as: ORNITHOLOGICAL PARADISE. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge
Day 7: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli via Nairobi
After breakfast, Morning bird and game viewing drives en-route, as you proceed to Amboseli national park, where you will arrive in good time for evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Sentrim Tenetd Camp or AA Lodge.
Day 8: Amboseli
Early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast have a whole day game viewing. Optional: Masai Village visit Nature walk Swimming in one of the Amboseli lodges. (all at extra cost). Return for dinner and overnight at Sentrim Tenetd Camp or AA Lodge.
Day 9: Amboseli/Tsavo West
After breakfast drive via Chyulu hills to Tsavo West National Park arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive and a visit to Mzima Springs (The source of drinking water for Mombasa). Return for dinner and overnight at Ngulia Safari lodge.
Day 10: Tsavo West/Tsavo East
After breakfast, drive to Tsavo East which is renowned for its large numbers of Elephants and the famous Man Eating Lions (during the building of the Kenya/Uganda Railway in 1890). Lunch on arrival. Game drive. Dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge
Day 11: Tsavo East/ Nairobi or Mombasa
After breakfast and your final game drive, return to Nairobi or Mombasa by train, where your guide will assist you with tickets and transfer to the standard gauge Nairobi-Mombasa Train (Madaraka Express), the new high-speed train to Mombasa and the coast.
