Detailed Itinerary for 11 days Bwindi and Maasai Mara Luxury safary
Day 1- Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, meet Bushtroop Tours & Safaris representative and safari driver guide.He will then transfer you for dinner and overnight at Crown Plaza.
Day 2 – Nairobi – Fly to Amboseli National Park
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your flight with Air Kenya aviation to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, you will be transferred by road to Tortilis Camp for lunch in Amboseli National Park, then after enjoy a shared game drive in the afternoon.
Amboseli is well known for its vast herds of elephants against the backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in the African Continent and the highest free standing mountain in the world!
The park also hosts lions, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest to name but a few. There are also more than 400 species of birds to be found here as well.

Day 3- Full day in Amboseli National Park
On this day , you have a full day game viewing in Amboseli National Park National Park as per the schedule of the lodge. You will head to the observation Hill that offers panoramic views of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps.
Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. After the walking safari, you will be taken to a spot that has a spectacular scenic view to enjoy a bush sun downer. Meals & overnight at Tortilis Camp

Day 4: Amboseli – Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast you will be transferred to Amboseli airstrip, with an enroute game drive as you exit the park for your flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve.
On arrival at Masai mara, meet another company representative who will transfer you to the camp. Lunch will be served then afternoon game drive followed by a sundowner.

Day 5-6: Masai Mara Game Reserve
You will have full days in Masai Mara Game Reserve with activities as per the camp Schedule. Masai Mara National Reserve is a “must see” safari destination for any new visitor traveling on a safari to Kenya. It has the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa making it great for game viewing throughout the year.
The Reserve is famous for its huge herds of Wildebeest and Zebra which migrate through Maasai Mara from the Serengeti around June-October each year.

Day 7: Fly to Entebbe International Airport (Uganda)
Have breakfast early in the morning , enjoy your last activity in the park and head to the airstrip in Masai Mara for your flight to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be able to enjoy lunch and depart for Entebbe by flight, Uganda. On arrival in Entebbe you will be met by a Representative who will transfer you to your Entebbe/Kampala hotel.

Day 8 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On day 8, you will be transferd to Kajansi Airfield after your breakfast, to board a flight to Kihihi airstrip where a representative will meet you and transfer you to the camp.
It may take approximately 90 minutes by road to your hotel.
Bwindi Gorilla Forest Camp is located within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is the perfect base for a tracking experience as it offers luxury in the heart of the rain forest. Lunch is served at camp.
In the afternoon you can just relax and take in the fresh air or take a forest walk, which is a nice way to warm up before the Gorilla trekking.
Birders come thousands of miles to see over 350 species that live within the area. There are also rare forest elephants, giant forest hogs and eleven kinds of primates, such as red tailed and blue monkeys, black and white colobus, baboons and chimpanzees.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking
Early breakfast before setting off for gorilla trekking briefing about the rules and regulations. Tracking commences every morning from the park headquarters at 8.30 am. You will track of the ‘habituated’ Gorilla family groups in Northern Bwindi.
For several years each group has undergone an extremely delicate process that has gradually made them used to the presence of humans.
Experienced guides will accompany you during the tracking, many of who have been involved in the habituation process themselves. Once the gorillas are located, the group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Return to camp for dinner.

DAY 10: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will visit a local village on this day to meet the villagers so as to learn about their day to day lives. On this walk you can visit a honey production site, a traditional medicine man, a traditional blacksmith, a local school (incase they havent broken for holidays) and even attend a Batwa dance performance. The walk is organised with the local community as part of community support.
Otherwise, you can opt for bird walk instead. Bwindi has more than 300 bird species, including 24 that are endemic to these highlands straddling Uganda, Rwanda and the Congo – the “Albertine Rift Endemics”. There are also over 200 species of butterflies found in the park. A local expert will guide you on this fascinating walk. Lunch and dinner at the camp. After dinner simply relax and sip a drink as you listen to folk tunes played on the traditional Bakiga guitar.

Day 11 Depart
On the final day, you will depart after breakfast for Kihihi airstrip for your shared scheduled flight back to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
