This 4 days Lake Naivasha Masai Mara covers Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara National Reserve. Lake Naivasha is a spectacular freshwater lake in Kenya located just 90 minutes north-west of Nairobi and offers superb activities like boat ride, hiking, among others. You will walk on the Crescent Island, and also see giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles, topi, impalas and waterbucks, not forgetting the Hells gate National Park visit.
While Masai Mara is hosts the “Big 5” (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo) including zebras, antelope, hyenas, giraffes, African lions and black-maned lion.
However, you may also enjoy the great wildebeests migration from July to October.
Detailed Itinerary for the 4 days Lake Naivasha Masai Mara Safari
DAY1: Nairobi – Lake Naivasha
In the morning, you will be picked by a Bushtroop tours and safaris driver guide, from either your hotel or airport, who will transfer you to Lake Naivasha, where you will switch from the car to the boat for a launch across the lake. On the water, we’ll glide past curious hippos, exotic fish and have a chance to spot birds such as cormorant and pelican. There after, proceed for a guided walking safari at Crescent Island Sanctuary where you will encounter peacefully grazing antelope, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, among others.
Post lunch, and later on go for bicycle ride to Hell’s Gate National Park for a safari through the gorge.
Return to the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight rest
Day 2: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara
We will leave after breakfast for Masai Mara driving through the Masai Plains , arriving in time for lunch at Entim Mara Tented Camp (Luxury). Relax and depart for the afternoon game drive, it is very likely to see many of the animals that this world famous park is renowned for like Elephants, Lion and the rare White Rhino. Return for dinner and overnight at the camp (Entim)
Day 3: Full Day Masai mara
We will take early morning and late afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara, not only to view the Big Five but also take in the bird life for which this park is famous. All meals and overnight will be at Entim Mara Tented Camp (Luxury).
Day 4: Masai Mara to Nairobi
This day marks the end of the 4 days Lake Naivasha and Masai mara safari. You will wake to a tasty breakfast early in the morning, check out of the camp, and depart for Nairobi with an enroute game drive as you exit the park.
Reach Nairobi in the early afternoon to be dropped to your luxury hotel of preference or proceed to the Airport to catch up with your scheduled flight back home.
