6 day gorilla Trekking and Serengeti safari offers an opportunity to see 6 of Africa’s most important creatures including Mountain gorillas, lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and buffaloes.
The safari starts from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and ends in the Volcanoes National Park of Rwanda with incredible glimpse of wildlife , Mountains gorillas, Golden monkeys and a visit to the twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park (4 hours of driving)
Day 2: Full day Game drive at the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater
Day 3: Game drive before departure Kigali Rwanda
Day 4: Kigali City Tour – Visit the twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo at the Volcanoes National Park (3 hours of driving)
Day 5: Golden Monkey Tracking – Iby’iwacu Cultural Village
Day 6: Gorilla Tracking – Transfer to Kigali for departure (3 Hour drive)
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to the Serengeti National Park
On arrival, otherwise from the hotel, you will be picked in the morning by a Bushtroop Tours and Safaris driver guide who will take you on a 4 hours drive to Serengeti National Park, immediately after the briefing. He will brief you about the tour before starting the 4-hour drive to the Serengeti National Park. You will pass through the Olduvai Gorge which is believed that the first remains of the earliest humans were discovered by the Leaky family. Animals you expect to see include Elephants, Giraffe, lions, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests and several antelopes among others.
Dinner and overnight will be at the Camp/Hotel/Lodge.
Day 2: Full day Game drive in Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater
Rise Up in the Morning, then proceed to the Serengeti plains along the Seronera River Valley so as to encounter more wild game like, large collection of hyenas, lions, cheetahs, zebras, leopards, bush bucks, dik-dik and other antelopes.
However, you can also look out for birds like secretary birds, ostriches, Guinea fowls, hornbills and more. You can also visit the hippo pool enroute.
Lunch will be enroute as you exit the park for Ngorongoro crater, where you will arrive in the evening at the hotel for Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive transfer to Kigali Rwanda
After breakfast, You will be driven early in the morning to the Ngorongoro Crater so as to catch up with the game drive. Animals to encounter are; Rhinos, Elephants, while you may also chance to see Impalas, Masai giraffes and topis before reaching down the crater.
After that memorable moment, embark on your journey back to Arusha to catch your flight to Kigali in Rwanda.
You will be received by another Driver in Kigali and taken to your hotel for rest.
Dinner and Overnight at your booked hotel/lodge
Day 4: Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Visit the twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.
You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, then depart for Kigali city tour to visit places of great importance such as the Kigali genocide memorial center, the city markets, former presidential palace and crafts shops.
Lunch will be taken from one of the restaurants in Kigali town, after when you will embark on your journey to the Volcanoes National Park, reaching in the evening for check in.
However, if time allows, you can also visit the twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.
Dinner and Overnight at your Lodge of Preference.
Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking – Visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village
On this day, you will wake up early for breakfast, then along with the driver guide you will depart for briefing about the code of conduct for trekking Golden Monkeys in Volcanoes national Parl.
Golden Monkey tracking lasts between 2 to 7 hours with at most 1 hour included for you to interact with the Golden Monkeys.
Return to the park headquarters to meet with the driver guide after your encounter, and drive back for lunch at the Lodge.
Later in the early evening, you will taken for a cultural encounter with the Gorilla Guardians in the Iby’Iwachu village. You will learn more about the Rwandan culture of how people lived 200 years ago, visit the traditional medicine man, buy local souvenirs and watch cultural presentations.
Return for dinner and an overnight.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking at the Volcanoes National Park – Transfer to Kigali for departure
Like Golden Monkey’s you will arrive early for brieafing about the code of conduct of trekking Gorillas in the jungle.
With the ranger guides, you will enter into the lush forest of volcanoes national Park , to search for the Mountain Gorillas, which may last between 2-6 hours depending on how far they have moved and on finding them, you will spend with them at most 1 hour in their presence.
Return to the Lodge with the driver guide for lunch, there after depart for Kigali International airport to catch up with your flight back home.
