Day 1: Nairobi – Timau Gate – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up in Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive past Nanyuki town and into the Laikipia region. Upon arrival, you will register with Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), meet your guides and porters, and have a briefing about the trek ahead.

The hike starts through open moorlands and dry grasslands, offering stunning views of the northern plains. Upon reaching Simba Tarn Camp, you will rest, hydrate, and prepare for the summit push. At midnight or early morning, you will begin the final ascent to Point Lenana (4,985m) under the moonlit sky.
