5 days Fly In Safaris Migration Safaris: This 5 days Migration Safari rotates around Maasai Mara, starting with the first game drive on the days 1, day 2& 3 for full day game drives so spot large herds of game at the Mara River as well as on the Maasai Mara plains, while day 4 is spent exploring the Maasai Mara cammps as you get to learn more about their cultures. Day 5: is the last day to return to Nairobi and return to your country.
Detailed Itinerary for a 5 days Fly in Migration Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
In the morning, you will be picked up by Bushtroop tours and safaris expert driver guide from the airport or Nairobi Hotel and transfer to Wilson airport for your flight to Masai Mara. As you arrive at Masai Mara, you will find one of our guides with a 4×4 safari Land cruiser with an Open roof. He will then transfer you to your camp for lunch, after then take you for your first afternoon game drive. This is the best time to see the wildebeest migration. As the sun sets, return to camp for dinner, followed by story-telling around the fireplace.
Day 2-3 Masai Mara
Have breakfast in the morning before setting off on a full-day safari across the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will spend the next two days in the Mara region, spending a full day in the wild, where you may have the chance of seeing among others herds of buffalo and zebras as well as hippos and many other animals and birds. You may choose to enjoy a picnic lunch out in the bush or return to camp for lunch.
At this time of year, the Great Migration passes through the Mara River from Serengeti National Park to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. It is an amazing sight to behold when 1.5 million game are on the move across the plains. You may even be fortunate enough to see one of the dramatic river crossings.
Return to camp at sundown for dinner , relaxation at the campfire and an overnight sleep.
Day 4 Masai Mara Camp Walk
After a hearty breakfast, You will be taken for a camp walk by a Naturalist Maasai guide. The camp has a lot of eco-initiatives that you may wish to learn about during your stay. Visit the Enjoolata Awareness Center where we invite all guests to an exciting learning experience about the Maasai culture. You may also explore, as well as purchase some products of the Maasai Mamas products. Learn about Basecamp’s reforestation project that is intended to re-wild the Mara. At a minimal fee, we encourage our guests to contribute to offsetting their carbon footprint by planting a tree at a minimal fee.
Day 5 Masai Mara Nairobi
In the morning, set off for the final morning game drive safari. Your guide will share the importance of the wildebeest for the survival of the Masai Mara ecosystem. Enjoy your picnic breakfast overlooking the Mara plains , and then proceed to the Olkiombo Airstrip in time for your scheduled afternoon flight back to Nairobi, where you will be picked and dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your outbound flight.
