Detailed Itinerary For 7 Days Bird-Watching in Uganda
Day 1: Uganda Wildlife Education Center
In the morning, you will visit Uganda Wildlife Education center in the areas of Entebbe, which emerged from an animal orphanage in 1920s. you will be ale to glimpse various birds like; pelicans, ostrich, parrots, crowned cranes, weaver birds (such as the orange weaver, black necked baglafect, the northern masked weaver ) and the shoe bill storks.
Enjoy lunch enroute after exiting the Uganda Education Wildlife center, and proceed to the botanical gardens where you will most likely be able to enjoy more birds. Expect birds like the yellow-throated leaf love, the great blue Turaco, Ross’s Turaco, the black and white casqued hornbill, the pied hornbill. Yellow backed weaver, orange weaver, brown-throated weaver, and great reed warbler, sedge warbler and the fish eagle.

Day 2: lake Mburo national park
Have breakfast early in the morning, and depert Kampala for Lake Mburo National park. Enroute you will stop at the equator, where you can take amazing photographs. Birding to the park begins as you turn off to Nshara gate, where you wmight begin seeing birds such as the Handsome Francolin, Pink baked Pelican, Bee-eaters, Helmeted Guinea fowl, lilac-breasted roller, red faced barbet, Rufuos bellied heron, green capped Eremomela, long tailed Cisticola, the Malachite and Pied King fishers among others.
Return for lunch at the lodge and after proceed for a boat ride which will yield sights of the black bellied bustard, brown chested lapwing, Rufous naped lark, lilac breasted roller, lesser and greater swamp warbler, papyrus yellow warbler, papyrus gonolek, king fishers, herons and the elusive shoebill.

Day 3 lake Mburo national Park
Toady after breakfast, you shall embark on an early morning nature walk to look for the Bare faced go a way Bird, Lead Coloured fly catcher, African Drongo, Blue Eared Glossy starling, the Verreaux’s Eagle Owl and the Yellow billed ox pecker.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National park
Early in the morning, you will commence with your game drive after your breakfast You will be driven along Zebra trackts as you look out for bird species like the African Wattled, plover, narinas trogon, coqui Francolin, rufous chested swallow, temmricks courser, deidric cuckoo and the black headed weaver.
Later after Lunch, journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with an enroute stopover in Mbarara, reaching the park in the Early evening Queen Elizabeth national Park Habituates is a home to more thanr 600, which makes it Birds’ haven in Uganda due to its astounding density of flora and fauna.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up early before the sun, then proceed for an early morning game drive to catch up with early risers. You will be driven along the Kasenyi tracks and the Kikorongo crater area, so as to spot numerous birds species; the martial eagle, rupells griffon vulture and weavers among others.
Enjoy lunch at the hotel, then later on drive to the dock on the Kazinga channel, which connects lakes Edward and George. You will be able to sight birds like apallid harrier, great snipe, papyrus gonolek, gull billed tern, Madagascar pond heron, lesser kestrel and the rare shoe bill stork.
You will also spot wildlife like the elusive leopard, schools of hippos, elephants and the comical warthog.
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge / Institute of Ecology Hostel.
Day 6: Maramagambo Forest
Very early in the morning, after breakfast, drive to Maramagambo for a foot safari through the forest. Bird species to look out for include; the bat hawks, brown eared woodpecker, fawn breasted Waxbill, Sulphur breasted bush shrike, and dark capped yellow warbler, red headed blue bill, African Finfoot and the Eurasian golden oriole

Day 7 Lake Katwe area and Return to Kampala
Depart Quenn Elizabeth national Park for Kampala. Enroute, you will drive by Lake Katwe, where you might sight birds like; swallows, warblers and wagtails.
