Detailed Itinerary For the 9 Days Maasai Mara and Serengeti Migration Safari
DAY 1 – Masai Mara
Depart Nairobi in the morning with an expert driver guide from Bushtroop Tours and safaris and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley – to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for Lunch at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge. After lunch, afternoon game viewing drives in the Masai Mara game reserve. Dinner and Overnight at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge.
DAY 2 – Masai Mara
A full day at the Masai Mara game reserve. Morning and afternoon game drives across the plains. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara grasslands in huge numbers during this period of the annual migrations take place, when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle traverse the landscape to feed on the rich new grass and give birth to

DAY 3 – Masai Mara to Serengeti
Early morning wake up followed by breakfast. 07h30 depart for Isebania/Sirari Kenya/ Tanzania border to immigration and customs formalities and vehicle exchanges between the Kenyan and Tanzania drivers. Then depart for the Serena Lodge Serengeti to arrive in time for late lunch followed by afternoon game viewing drives in the park. Dinner and Overnight at the Serena lodge
DAY 4 – Serengeti
Breakfast at the Serena lodge. Morning and afternoon game viewing drives. The wildlife defines the Serengeti-countless zebra, buffalo, gazelle, wildebeest, and other species make it their home. The terrain is the main stage for the great wildebeest migration, an awesome spectacle involving millions of these beasts. Lunch, dinner and Overnight at the Serengeti Serena lodge.
DAY 5 – Serengeti
Breakfast at the Serengeti Serena Lodge. This morning depart central side of the vast Serengeti National park to south west of the Serengeti National Park side of the park. Lunch will be at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge . After noon game viewing drives in this side of park. Dinner and Overnight at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge .
DAY 6 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Breakfast at the The Serengeti Sopa Lodge , followed by morning game viewing drives in the Serengeti national park. Lunch at the The Serengeti Sopa Lodge. After lunch depart via the Olduvai Gorge to Ngorongoro highlands and through the Serengeti plains climbing to the altitude of 8,000 feet. You continue to ascend to the exterior of the crater reaching its rim and here your first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the “Eighth wonder of theWorld.” Dinner and Overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.
DAY 7 – Ngorongoro Crater
Early breakfast at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. Then descend to the floor of the crater for an opportunity to view the delicate balance of predator and prey in the endless quest for survival. Picnic lunch boxes will be served by the hippo pool. As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim ascend and return the Lodge. Dinner and Overnight at the
Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.
DAY 8 – Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara
Breakfast at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. After breakfast you will be transferred to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, balance of the day you could participate on nature walk offered by the lodge. Lunch at the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge. After lunch afternoon game viewing drives at the Lake Manyara National park. The extraordinary birdlife and the tree climbing lions are but one of the lures. The place is world renown amongst the ornithologists, who come to observe the masses of pink flamingos and great bird of prey. Dinner and Overnight at the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge.
DAY 9 – Departure
Breakfast at the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge. After breakfast depart Arusha Mountain Village to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro international Airport to connect your departure flight home.
