Detailed Itinerary For a 9 day Best Kenya Safari for Seniors
Day 1- Samburu National Reserve
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be briefed about your trip and transferred to Wilson Airport for your connecting flight to Samburu National Reserve. Upon arrival at Samburu National Reserve, you will be met by our guide and transferred to the camp. You will check in at Samburu larsen luxury tented camp and enjoy lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive more likely to spot some of the park’s rich elephant population. We’ll head to the greenest area here, the Ewaso Nyro River which creates a verdant ribbon through the park. Later you will return to the luxury camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2- Samburu National Reserve
After breakast you will have a full day at the park to go on as many game drives as you wish. Or, you may want to set aside some relaxation time at your accommodation. Just discuss with your driver/guide how you’d like to plan your day.Samburu National Reserve are the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers, and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserve has numerous permanent springs and hosts a wealth of wildlife. Wildlife in the area includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra, and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro river. In addition, over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries.dinner and an overnight stay

Day 3- Samburu – Ol Pejeta (3 Hour Drive)
Very early to enjoy another game drive around the park before we head off to Ol Pejeta Conservancy.It’s an easy drive, taking us to the cooler regions near Mt. Kenya and Laikipia.The Ol Pejeta Conservancy hosts all the Big Five members (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, and leopard) and prides itself on having a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park. It is one of only four private game conservancies in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy program, this conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.Afternoon gamedrive after you will drive back to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4- Full Day at Ol Pejeta
Spend a full day at this private sanctuary with morning and afternoon game drives, as well as visit to Morani, the tame rhino and the Infomration Centre within the reserve too. Other optional activites include guided nature walks, camel riding and a night game drive. All meals and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp. Overlooking a floodlit waterhole, the camp offers visitors the opportunity to watch and photograph animals in thier natural habitat.dinner and an overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.

Day 5- Ol Pejeta – Masai Mara
After breakfast drive to the airstrip for 10:30 am schedule flight to Maasai Mara. To be met and transferred to Mara Bush Camp luxury tented camp.There will be a game drive after lunch, the park is immense green rolling hills, decorated with the signature acacia trees.This is a truly dense eco-system and you do not have to wait long before spotting wildlife – large or small. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 6- Full Day at Masai Mara
Early breakfast then game dive to Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary with the best opportunity of spotting the big five.Drive down to the Mara River, site of the Great Migration from June through October. Witness one of the most unbelievable displays of wildlife on the planet.Hundreds, thousands… even tens of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelle pour into the park from the neighboring Serengeti on their yearly trek searching for sustenance in the form of food and water. With optional activities including escorted walking safaris outside the reserve.Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve- Amboseli
After breakfast, last gamedrive, have lunch at our Mara accommodation, then proceed to the airstrip for flight to Amboseli the 14:00 hrs. (2:00 pm) catch sight of the towering flanks of Africa’s largest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro.Afternoon game drive followed by a bubbly sundowner at observationhill. Dinner and overnight at the Elewana Tortilis Camp.

Day 8: Amboseli National Park
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive at 6.30am, when you have the best chance to see the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Afternoon game drive explore this vibrant park, humming with all the big game like lions as well as giraffe, zebra, warthog, baboon, monkey, and hippos. All meals and overnight at Elewana Tortilis Camp.

DAY 9: Amboseli national Park – Nairobi (45 Minute Flight)
