Detailed Itinerary for 7 days Tanzania Budget Camping Safari tour
Day 1. Arusha/Tarangire
From your hotel, you will be picked by our professional driver guide, who will brief you about your 7 days Tanzania camping safari , thereafter you will proceed along with him for approximately 2 hours to Tarangire National park. You will reach in time for lunch, then embark on your afternoon game drive, where you might view large herds of Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests which are closely folowed by big cats such as leopards, Lions although cheetahs are rarely spotted. Return in the late evening to Tarangire Raiko Tented Camp, for dinner and an overnight
Day 2. Lake Manyara
This morning, we part Tarangire national park after breakfast for lake Manyara National Park, also known as the home for tree climbing Lions. You will drive passed lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees. You will spend the entire day in the park on a game driver. Expect to encounter animals like; giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas and groups of noisy monkeys and baboons not forgetting millions of pink flamingos along the Lake shoreline. In the evening, return to lake Manyara Wildlife camp for dinner and an overnight
Day 3. Serengeti
Depart Manyara after breakfast for Serengeti National Park with a game drive en route. After a picnic lunch, proceed with an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Seronera or Lobo Campsite.
Day 4. Serengeti
Have breakfast early in the morning proceed for a full days game drive, depending on the options below.
You can have breakfast and spend the full day in the wilderness on a game drive with packed lunch and return late in the evening. or you can opt for morning game drive, return for breakfast and lunch , after then embark on the evening game drive and later return to the camp for dinner and overnight
You can visit the park all year round but there is less game in the park during the dry season – July /October, where they migrate to the Masai Mara in Kenya. During March to May the herds move in search of grazing to the southern section and in May to June, they move towards the western corridor of the park. Serengeti in the low season will still offer game viewing to match that of any park in Africa, and for some, the fact that there will be fewer tourists may be an added bonus.
Day 5. Ngorongoro
Following your morning game drive, depart for Ngorongoro Crater with a game drive en route and an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge Museum. Dinner and overnight will be at Simba Campsite.
The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals. Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains are volcanic in origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the Rift valley 15 to 20 million years ago. When it peaked in size 3 million years ago it was a similar height to Mt. Kilimanjaro today.
Day 6. Ngorongoro
After breakfast, proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will be driven down t the huge collapsed volcano which hosts more than 25,000 mammals ranging from the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – to spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs among others. The conservation is also home to about 500 bird species of the area.You will have picnic lunch during the game drive and return to Ngorongoro wildlife camp late in the evening for dinner and an overnight.
Day 7: Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast depart Ngorongoro, with an enroute game drive, as you exit Ngorongoro for a drop at Arusha.
