Detailed Itinerary for a 15 days Kenya Tanzania and Zanzibar Beach holiday Luxury safari
Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a Bushtroop Tours and Safaris representative and driver guide. Thereafter you will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel for dinner and overnight at the Argyle Grand Hotel.
Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
At 0730 hours, you will be picked by the driver guide from the hotel after breakfast, then proceed to Amboseli National Park. The drive will take you via the Nairobi – Mombasa highway and through Masai county as you head to Amboseli which lies at the edges of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive early in perfect time for check-in at Kibo safari Camp or Sopa Lodge in Amboseli as well as having lunch there. Relax a little and head for afternoon game viewing drives in search of elephant, cheetah, lion, and other plains game.Mount Kilimanjaro in its majesty offers the most natural background for wildlife photography. Dinner & Overnight at the Kibo safari Camp or Sopa Lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Wake up early for breakfast by 06:30 am for breakfast, then proceed for the full day game drive at the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. En-route picnic lunch will be served at the viewpoint. Amboseli Park is one among most visited parks in Kenya for its serenity as well as the view of the peak of Kilimanjaro during the sunrise and sunset in the evening. Here to be spotted are the big cats as well as the herds of the African elephants. Return to the Kibo safari Camp or Sopa Lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Amboseli National Park – Lake Naivasha National Park
Day 4 starts with morning breakfast, thereafter, departing for Lake Naivasha on the floors of the Great Rift Valley. An easy, relaxed sightseeing drive takes you via the Great Rift Valley escarpment.Reach Lake Naivasha in time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or Lake Naivasha Country club. Visit Hell’s Gate National Park in the afternoon, and engage on a cycling adventure to the gorge on the bicycle, and later on go for a boat ride to the crescent island. Lake Naivasha is a hot bed of outdoor activities! Dinner and overnight at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or Lake Naivasha Country club.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara
In the Morning, depart for Masai Mara game reserve, in approximately 4-5 hours drive. You shall have break stops at scenic places along the way. Arrive for hot lunch at Mara Leisure Luxury Camp or Ashnil Mara Camp. Later in the evening, go for game viewing drives at the Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Leisure Luxury Camp or Ashnil Mara Camp.
Day 6 Masai Mara
On this day, you shall spend the day in Masai Mara on unlimited game viewing drives, along with picnic lunch boxes. (You’ll have opportunities for an optional balloon ride excursion USD$480) The Masai Mara ecosystem hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per sq km than any other game reserve in the region. Elephant, lion, cheetah, buffalo, antelope, warthog, hyena, and many more animal species are expected to be seen. Simply stated, the Masai Mara is a one-stop for game and scenery viewing. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Leisure Luxury Camp or Ashnil Mara Camp.
Day 7: Masai mara – Serengeti
Depart Masai Mara and proceed to the Serengeti in Tanzania. You will be driven via the Isebania Kenya / Tanzania border town. The Serengeti shares the same ecosystem with the Masai Mara game reserve. Ideally, Masai Mara is the smaller extension of the Serengeti. It is suitably located for game viewing drives along with optional activities including guided nature walks or bird walks. Afternoon game drive in the vast plains of Serengeti. Overnight at Tortilis tented camp or Lobo Wildlife Lodge.
Day 8: Serengeti national park
In the morning, head for a full day game viewing drive to explore the vast nature endowed with numerous wildlife. Options of morning and afternoon or full day game viewing sessions are available to you. The annual wildebeest migration is Serengeti’s most popular attraction.It is also home to a pride of its lions which have been fitted with radio-transmitter collars so that their movements may be tracked. Expect to spot other game like cheetah, zebra, giraffe, Thompson and Grant’s gazelle, Eland, Impala, Klipspringer, Hippo and Warthog.Overnight at Tortilis tented camp or Lobo Wildlife Lodge.
Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Wake up to a delicious breakfast , then proceed to Serengeti along with picnic lunches, slope down to the floor of the crater for game viewing in the unique caldera park of Ngorongoro. Here you have the opportunity to search for Rhinos, Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Cheetah, Buffalo and Hippo. Later we ascend to the crater rim. Catch a glimpse of the most magnificent sunset views in Africa from the crater rim. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro farm house or Ngorongoro Tortilis tented camp.
Day 10: Ngorongoro – Tarangire
Enjoy the sunrise views from the crater rim, and continue to the Tarangire National Park arriving in time for a hot lunch. An afternoon game drive gives you a chance to see different types of wildlife which inhabit this small but beautiful park. Overnight at Tortilis Tarangire Camp or Tarangire sopa lodge.
Day 11: Tarangire – Arusha- Zanzibar
Morning game drive, depart for Arusha town. Enjoy a hot lunch enroute to the Airport and transfer by air to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met by another Bushtroop Tours & safaris local representative.Transfer to Uroa bay beach resort or Blue Bay resort. All-inclusive arrangements.
Day 12-13-14: Zanzibar
